Vier Kindertotenlieder (2019) for Tenor, Clarinet and Double Bass

Julia Purgina’s Vier Kindertotenlieder for tenor, clarinet and double bass obviously reference their famous predecessor, yet are a much more intimate setting. The texts are more atmospheric than narrative, and the intimacy of only a clarinet and a double bass as the instrumental partners makes this work a very special addition to the repertoire.
